The Joy of Cookies, Lawrenceville Cookie Tour

That's right my people - this hipster area of town had its annual Joy of Cookies tour.  Not only did we get to run around on Sunday afternoon and do some (window) shopping, we also got to munch on some homemade cookies along the way.  The weather was a balmy 65 degrees, but it was nice to be out in the sun before the rain picks up again.

What FREE cookies?!?!  Am AmeriCorps dream come true!
We then tootled over and stopped into the Teddy Bear Hospital - yes it is a real thing.  Jill, the owner who is a bit off her rocker, was working on a 'client' who had been mauled by the family dog.  Apparently she gets things flown in from all around the world.  The highlight of the shop was in the front window.  She had collected TONS of different McDonalds Happy Meal toys so we got to do a walk down memory lane for a little while.

There were a few kitchy stores filled with sundries.

Parsnips, fortune cookie, apple and a S'More from left to right
